Whether it’s held during the week or over a weekend, hosting is easier than you might think — and a genuinely enjoyable experience. It’s a great way to bring people together, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with others who share a love of camping and travel around the campfire.

🏕️ What’s Involved?

There’s nothing complicated about hosting. Simply choose a camping location you feel would suit a group and suggest some dates. Meets can be held mid‑week or on weekends, giving flexibility for both hosts and attendees.

When selecting a location, it helps to consider a few practical points:

• 🚙 Access conditions (suitable for 2WDs, caravans, or 4WDs)

• 🐕 Whether pets are allowed

• 🚻 Available facilities such as toilets, showers, drinking water, and rubbish disposal

⚠️ Different Camping Conditions

Some get‑togethers may be held in more remote or basic locations. These may include:

• 🏞️ National parks where fires and dogs are not permitted

• 🚜 Roads better suited to 4WDs or high‑clearance vehicles

• 🚿 No showers or drinking water

• 🗑️ No rubbish bins — all waste must be taken home

• 🚽 No toilet facilities, meaning a portable toilet is required
